伊斯特万·巴尼亚伊(Istvan Banyai)

伊斯特万·巴尼亚伊出生于匈牙利首都布达佩斯,l981年前往美国发展,随即以他富有冲击性及原创力的插画声名大噪。他曾为美国知名杂志绘制插图,也为索尼唱片公司设计唱片封套,以及制作动画短片。他的画风独特,深具个人特质与魅力,图画看似简单,却富涵惊喜与巧思,给予读者想象及思考的空间。

1995年出版了他的第一本童书《变焦》(Zoom),被《纽约时报》和《出版人周刊》推荐为年度最佳童书,并荣获国际阅读协会儿童票选最佳童书奖(International ReadingAssociation Children's Choice Award)。

目前他和妻子、儿子居住在美国纽约。
