克林斯·布鲁克斯(Cleanth Brooks,1906-1994),美国著名的文学批评家、新批评派的代表人物之一,创立形式主义批评理论。任教于耶鲁大学,为美国高等教育中的诗歌教学变革做出贡献。代表作有《现代诗歌与传统》（Modern Poetry and the Tradition,1939）和《精制的瓮》（The Well Wrought Urn,1947）。与沃伦合著《诗歌鉴赏》（Understanding Poetry,1938)和《小说鉴赏》（Understanding Fiction,1943）,共同创办了当时美国最有影响力的文学杂志《南方评论》（Southern Review,1935-1942）, 推动新批评理论盛极一时。
