罗伯特·鲁瓦克（Robert Ruark,1915—1965）

公认为美国第二个海明威,自然文学家、专栏作家、小说家、探险家、猎人。生于北卡罗来纳州的乡间。二战期间,参入海军服役,此后相当长的时间在非洲探险狩猎,创作出系列狩猎题材作品,其中1950年代创作的something of value售出百万册以上,并被搬上电影银幕,成为当时红极一时的畅销书。

为纪念他的贡献,北卡罗来纳州为他成立了一个鲁瓦克基金会,并以他的名义设立了鲁瓦克文学奖（Annual Robert Ruark award）。2009年,鲁瓦克入选北卡罗来纳州名人堂（N. C. Hall of Fame）。
